Managing Multiple Websites and Client Projects in Workexe
Group sites by client or brand, switch between projects in one click, and keep reporting, billing and access cleanly separated.
When to use one project vs many
The rule is simple, one project per crawlable property. Subdomains and country folders that need separate reports get their own project. A single multilingual site behind one canonical does not.
- Separate project: brand.com and brand.co.uk (different ccTLDs)
- Separate project: shop.brand.com and blog.brand.com (different subdomains, different teams)
- Same project: brand.com/en and brand.com/de (one property, hreflang-bound)
Workspaces, the layer above projects
Workspaces let agencies and multi-brand teams group projects by client or business unit. Each workspace has its own member list, billing context and white-label branding.
- Up to 50 workspaces per account, unlimited projects per workspace
- Per-workspace branding (logo, colors, report cover) for white-label reporting
- Per-workspace SSO domain mapping on the Agency plan
Switching projects without losing context
The project switcher (top-left) remembers your last-used view per project. Hit Cmd/Ctrl+K and start typing the project name for keyboard-first navigation, no menu hunting.
- Recent projects pinned to the top of the switcher
- Star projects to keep them in the favorites section
- Per-project notification preferences, mute noisy projects without losing alerts elsewhere
Per-client access without seat bloat
Add clients as Guest users on their specific project only. Guests see the dashboard, reports and audit findings but cannot change settings, invite others or see other clients.
- Guest seats are free on all plans
- Read-only share links are also free, no login required for executives
- Internal team uses Editor seats, scoped per workspace or per project
Bulk operations across projects
From the Workspace dashboard, run cross-project actions: bulk export rank data, schedule a monthly report for every project in the workspace, or trigger Site Audits on a schedule.
- CSV export combining keywords across all selected projects
- Scheduled white-label PDF per project, sent to per-project recipient list
- Workspace-level rate-limit alerts so you spot crawl issues before clients do
- 1Connect
Verify the domain, connect GSC and GA4 in two clicks.
- 2Scan
Site Audit and keyword tracking start automatically.
- 3Optimize
Apply recommendations from the content assistant and fix list.
- 4Report
Export to PDF/Looker or email clients on a schedule.
