Upgrade flow
Upgrade is instant. New features unlock immediately, billing is prorated to the day.
- Settings > Billing > Change Plan, pick new plan
- Preview shows prorated charge for remaining days
- Confirm, charge to default card, features unlock in under 30 seconds
- First full invoice for new plan starts at next renewal date
Downgrade flow
Downgrade is scheduled for the end of the current period, you keep paid-for features until then.
- Pick the lower plan, see what features you'll lose
- Confirm schedules the change, no charge or refund needed
- Cancel the scheduled downgrade anytime before period end
- After downgrade, excess data (extra keywords, projects) goes to read-only
Monthly to annual switch
Switching to annual triggers an immediate prorated charge for the remainder of the year at the annual discounted rate (saves up to 20%).
- Annual discount: 17% on Standard, 20% on Agency
- Immediate charge of (annual price) minus (unused monthly credit)
- Renewal date shifts to today + 12 months
- Switch back to monthly at next annual renewal
What happens to over-quota usage
Downgrade may push you over the new plan's quotas. Workexe never deletes data, but limits read/edit access.
- Over-quota keywords go read-only (you keep history, no new tracking)
- Over-quota projects go view-only (re-add when upgrading)
