3 ways to import keywords

Pick the import path that matches the maturity of your list. New sites should start with the GSC auto-suggest, established sites should paste their existing tracking list.

  • Paste, up to 2,500 keywords from clipboard, one per line
  • CSV import, columns: keyword, location, device, tag (only the first is required)
  • GSC auto-suggest, Workexe ranks your top GSC queries by opportunity score and lets you accept in bulk

Clustering by intent and topic

Workexe groups keywords using two layers: search intent (informational, commercial, transactional, navigational) and SERP similarity (keywords sharing 4+ same-ranking URLs). The result, one cluster = one target page.

  • Intent labels are assigned automatically and editable
  • SERP-similarity threshold tunable from 3 to 7 shared URLs
  • Each cluster shows the suggested primary keyword and supporting variations

Locations and devices, when to split

By default, Workexe tracks one location + desktop. Add mobile or extra locations only when your audience actually differs, every extra location consumes part of your tracked-keyword quota.

  • Country-level for most B2B and SaaS
  • City-level for local services, restaurants, healthcare
  • Add mobile if your GA4 mobile share is above 40%

Opportunity Score, what it blends

The Opportunity Score (0 to 100) ranks every keyword by how much traffic you could realistically capture. It blends search volume, your current position, the click-curve at that position and keyword difficulty.

  • Score 70+, top priority, usually positions 4 to 15 on mid-volume terms
  • Score 40 to 70, secondary, often positions 16 to 30
  • Score under 40, monitor only, either low volume or out-of-reach difficulty

Alerts and handoff to SEO Tasks

Set per-tag rank-drop alerts so you do not get a flood of notifications for low-priority terms. High-Opportunity drops auto-create an SEO Task with the URL, target keyword and suggested fix type.

  • Default threshold: position drops more than 5 OR moves off page 1
  • Slack, email and in-app destinations
  • Auto-task creation can be turned off per tag
